Experience the flavors of Nerola on this lovely spring Sunday, perfect for a family outing. The star of the menu is gnocchi with castrato sauce—homemade gnocchi paired with a rich, mouthwatering sauce! You'll also find castrato meat, bruschetta topped with extra virgin olive oil from the Nerola hills, and the town's famous artisanal sausages, grilled over an open flame and served in a sandwich with sautéed chicory.

A charming craft and local products market will be set up, featuring artisans creating handmade jewelry and crochet items, small farms offering honey, cheeses, sweets, and the renowned Sabina DOP extra virgin olive oil.

Stroll through the picturesque medieval village and admire the majestic Orsini Castle. Within the old town, don't miss "Nerola's Terrace", a breathtaking viewpoint over the valley with olive groves, orchards, blooming trees, and the typical Sabina landscape.

Live music and inflatable attractions for children will keep everyone entertained throughout the day.

How to Get There:

Nerola is roughly halfway between Rome and Rieti along the historic Via Salaria.

From Rome: Take the A1 Florence-Rome highway, exit at Fiano Romano, and continue about 20 km on the Salaria toward Rieti. At Borgo Quinzio, take the exit for Nerola, follow Via Salaria Vecchia toward Acquaviva, and then reach Nerola.

From Rieti: Travel along the Salaria toward Rome, turn right at the Nerola exit near Corese Terra – Borgo Quinzio, then continue on Via Salaria Vecchia toward Acquaviva and Nerola.
