On Saturday, March 23rd, and Sunday, March 24th, the FAI Spring Days return, the most important public event dedicated to the cultural and landscape heritage of our country: 750 sites in 400 cities will be open for free visits, thanks to the volunteers of 350 delegations and FAI Groups active in all regions.
The FAI Spring Days, now in their thirty-second edition, confirm themselves as one of the most important and significant events for getting to know the Italian cultural and landscape heritage. An exclusive opportunity to discover a lesser-known Italy, from usually inaccessible places in big cities to small villages, from true monuments to curious and undiscovered sites, which nevertheless tell the ancient, rich, and multifaceted culture of our country. A way to contribute to the protection and enhancement of this heritage, which must first be known, visited, and above all, told. This is FAI's mission: "caring for heritage by telling its story", starting with its 72 properties open to the public throughout the year, but expanding and enriching this narrative especially during the FAI Spring Days, when 750 sites will be open throughout Italy thanks to thousands of FAI delegates and volunteers, as well as the Apprentice Ciceroni, young students specially trained to tell the wonders of their territory.
The FAI Days offer a unique and original narrative of Italian cultural heritage, which resides in its history intertwined with nature, in monuments and landscapes, in material and immaterial heritage, and in the many stories they can tell, which teach, inspire, and sometimes even move. A collective and concrete narrative based on the participation of hundreds of institutions, associations, public and private entities that increasingly collaborate through a vast and widespread territorial network with one common goal: to understand and recognize the value of Italian heritage in order to protect it with the contribution of all, because it belongs to everyone.
