Foodies Festival

"Cooking Health" is the theme of the second edition of the Foodies Festival will be located in Castiglioncello 24 April to 26 April 2015. The food, in fact, is the fuel of our body and the beneficial effect that has on the processes necessary for life, is the basis from which to every creative impulse in haute cuisine as well as in the diet everyday.

The topics will range from the traditional to the new kitchen "veggie", the rediscovery of the garden, to the enhancement of health-values of extra virgin olive oil, from the kitchen "popular" then passing for haute cuisine that will interpret "the health food ". Will be the corollary interesting Forum with experts in the areas of current topics such as: "Food and Work" and "Food and Sociability" Taste and Archaeology - Excavations food in our history "Gustatio ac promulsis" entrees and appetizers ancient Rome by the Directorate Archaeological Museum City of Rosignano Maritime.

From Saturday morning, visitors can follow the thematic programs in different forums and in cooking show, the first at 15:00 dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and the second considered the highlight of the entire festival, set for 18.00, when the park theater curtain will open for chefs and their culinary masterful interpretations regarding food and health.

 

Sunday continues the exhibition and sale of the producers and will continue the theme meetings, where the novelty will be represented by a very special cooking show titled 'Taste archaelogy' in which a real campaign of excavations gastronomic show of the food 'Roman times. The appointment with show cooking musical which will close the festival is scheduled for 18.30, with other great interpreters of international cuisine and Tuscany.

 

As a preferred partner for the second year, participates Vetrina Toscana, the project of the Region and Unioncamere Toscana that promotes restaurants and shops that use local products. This year, the formula of the event, organized by the Tourism of the City of Rosignano Maritime with the contribution of the Chamber of Commerce of Livorno, is enhanced.
The result is an eat-in-around like a  gastronomic journey range of events from April to May enliven Rosignano Maritime with five different initiatives throughout the area, and that will involve in various capacities shops and restaurants of the network Vetrina Toscana.

 

To kick off the dancing will own the Foodies Festival on 24, 25 and 26 April in Castiglioncello, will continue with 'Cacciucco nomakeup' on 2 and 3 May in Rosignano Solvay; with 'Do not fry without water' on 9 and 10 May to Rosignano Maritime; with the 'Frog Prince' on 16 and 17 May to Go; will conclude the program of events on 23 and 24 May 'May cheese' in Castelnuovo, Gabbro and Nibbiaia, hilly hamlets always suited to agriculture and pastoralism quality, wonderful opportunity to taste the recipes related to all the dairy products of the territory
