Saturday 9, Sunday 10 and Monday, April 11, 2016, in Magrè, in the province of Bolzano, returns the annual event organized by Alois Lageder, dedicated to the winegrowers of excellence from around the world. The 18th edition of Summa will be held, for the first time in three days, and, as usual, at the historic estate of Casòn Hirschprunn, owned by Alois Lageder family. Summa16 is the alternative vinitaly high altitude that takes place simultaneously to the famous Vinitaly in Verona.L'evento, leading in South Tyrol Italian and international excellence, year after year, has established very good food and wine, decretandosi currently as an event highly sought after. At Summa16 are encouraged, therefore, to industry experts, Italian and foreign, to enjoy the opportunity to taste and know personally, in this unique environment, excellent wine producers. There are guided tours, winery and vineyards, seminars and tastings. Summa16 is an event on the wine, but also a cultural event, where fun, conviviality, tasting, are the main ingredients that, however, bind very well to issues spanning the globe, the human being and nature. The theme of ecology, in fact, continues to play a leading role; it also confirms the renewed recognition by the Provincial Agency for the Environment, which also gives this edition of the Summa "Green Event" certification. Summa, then, is not a simple wine tasting event, but an event "green" certificate. Design, organization and realization of the festival, then, will follow environmentally friendly criteria. Summa16 will enhance and protect the territory, thanks to the use of green products, energy efficiency, waste management, the promotion of local products and social responsibility. For many years, also Summa also supports a humanitarian initiative; the funds raised are donated to support social projects. This year it was decided to make a contribution to the project "Singing Bowl Treatment: the taste of the wine to the sound of the bowl" created by the "House of Solidarity" of Bressanone and support, therefore, a charitable organization based in South Tyrol who, for years, helping people in need.
