Crusher Open to Giano with Mangiaunta

Saturday 1 and Sunday, November 2, 2014, the first weekend of "Frantoi Aperti" (Crusher Open) opens in Giano with Mangiaunta, gastronomic route in the local mills with free tastings and a full program of side events that will enliven the area, ready to welcome visitors a festive atmosphere, music and flavors.
Four stages of taste tour that will involve the public to discover the enchanting Umbrian village, the land of ancient olive trees, unspoilt scenery and strong traditions. In addition to participating mills, Crusher and Crusher Hope Flamini, another stop will be at the Municipal oven which, on for the occasion, you can taste delicacies of local cuisine, from traditional "plain" olive pizza, focaccia raisins and cheese and lots of baked treats in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Giano. The tour this year, provides an important new development, an additional stage. The beauty of the area Gianese shall be exalted, even more, through the exhibition of work by a local artist in an exclusive place full of history, charm and appeal.
Reconfirmed Gianolio Bus, a special bus that will accompany the gastronauts through Janus and its mills in the two-day event, from 10 am to 19 pm, departing from St. Francis every 30 minutes. As always, those who complete the tour, a complimentary bottle of new oil supply by the City Council that will be picked up at the Info Point in San Francisco Square.
Absolutely new edition of ten, in the Mangiaunta bike in collaboration with CAI Foligno. For more Cyclonautes experts but also for friends of the bicycle, the cycling tour is in contact with nature, tasting of a mill and the other, in the enchanting landscape of an area still intact and out of the daily grind.... read more»
Not only taste tour, shuttle and biking, as well as tastings of oil with the Consortium Oil DOP Umbria and the Strada del Sagrantino and the Slow Food Umbrian Valley present "Colors of Autumn", tasting of Montefalco Sagrantino Passito dOCG and rocciata (reservations required by calling the no. 0742378490 or info@stradadelsagrantino.it).
For lovers of theater and music, Saturday, November 1 at 17:30, the show in the Umbrian dialect, "Dangerously", by the theater company "Il Piccolo" Bastardo and in the afternoon of Sunday, November 2 at 15 ItinerantTangOil with the Itinerant Argentine Tango Academy and to follow at 18 concert Orchestra Camerca of Perugia with "Alla Rustica" in the picturesque church of San Francesco.
Do not forget, "Take & Enjoy", in collaboration with Instagnamers Perugia, to capture the sights, flavors and colors of Mangiaunta (#mangiaunta #igersperugia), for trekking lovers, "Walking in the country" and for those who want to dive art, visiting the beautiful architecture of Giano, "Oleovagando for Castles Gianesi between history and legend" with free shuttle from St. Francis. All participants a complimentary bottle of extra virgin olive oil.
Two intense days in Giano to celebrate the olive harvest and taste the new oil. For those who were lost to Mangiaunta, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November, the nineteenth edition of The Ways of Oil with the traditional commemoration of the Feast of Frasca, a weekend of music, folklore and fun with free tastings in the square, sightseeing, entertainment children, meetings, cooking classes and much more!
