Experience also has its flavor. The historic Guagnano food and wine event "Premio Terre del Negroamaro" is growing and transforming into a broader project: "Are/Terre del Negroamaro Fest," which aims to rethink the territory and its riches: the land, wine, food, places, and community.
The first step of this new direction is the "Are/Terre del Negroamaro Fest" event, promoted by the Municipality of Guagnano in collaboration with the Technical Operational Committee "Progetto Terre del Negroamaro." Scheduled for July 19 and 20, 2024, it will feature two days of meetings, tastings, workshops, walks, and music in the squares, streets, and courtyards of the historic center, where wine and food tasting points will also be set up.
"Are" is a name that evokes the land and its dimensions, but it also embodies the conjugation of three verbs that interpret a new vision of the territory and mark the three evenings: "cultivate dialogues," where encounters and discussions build understanding and reciprocity for community development projects; "taste places," savoring the experience through courtyards, gardens, countryside, ancient agricultural industries, and the stories of farmers and producers; "transcend territories," meaning stepping out of one's own to meet other cultures and allowing oneself to be permeated: being and giving guests a piece of the root with its fruits, to be carried far, towards other destinations.
