In the province of South Sardinia there is Tratalias, an ancient medieval village. Strolling through the streets you will be fascinated by the characteristic craft shops and by the Church of Santa Maria di Monserrato, a Romanesque cathedral, the only surviving building of medieval Tatalia. The area in which the village is located was particularly important in ancient times, for this reason there are numerous nuragic sites including more than five tombs of the giants and more than 40 nuraghi (stone constructions in the shape of a cone without a tip). The naturalistic scenery attracts many tourists every year.
