As a city of wine it is traditionally celebrated on the night of San Lorenzo with "Calici di Stelle". The Wine Cellar of Costigliole d'Asti is located in via Roma.

Another specialty of the area that is celebrated with a public event is Bagna Cauda, while in the Motta hamlet of Costigliole d’Asti it is celebrated with the Square Pepper Festival of Asti.

In the surroundings, an excursion is recommended to enjoy the wonderful surrounding hilly landscape, arriving at the "Big Bench", the huge bench set up in the farms of the Cascina Castlet winery.
