Castelmezzano (PZ)

Castelmezzano (PZ)

In Basilicata, in the province of Potenza, there is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: we are talking about the small village of Castelmezzano, located in the territory of the Lucanian Dolomites.

Among the points of interest in Castelmezzano we find the Mother Church of Santa Maria dell'Olmo, the Chapel of the Holy Sepulcher, the Chapel of the Madonna dell'Annunziata, the Chapel of San Marco and the Chapel of Santa Maria "Regina Coeli".

Among the activities to do in the summer there is the Flight of the Angel: suspended in the air, hooked to a rosy thread through a sling, a path is made that leads to Pietrapertosa at a speed of 120 km / h.

Among the typical local dishes you can taste the strangolapreti with ricotta and mint, the ciauredda cod, the thistles with eggs and the herb calzone.
