This year, Bressanvido will once again host "Transumando: Come, Discover, and Taste," the major event that brings together the three historic local festivals: the Transhumance Festival, the Agriculture Festival, and Latterie Vicentine in Festa. The entire town is buzzing with excitement for the packed schedule, which runs from September 27 to October 12, 2024, attracting thousands of visitors of all ages with a variety of interests, tastes, and needs. The program includes meetings, conferences, workshops, and performances, accompanied by great music and delicious food.

Transumando was born from the collaboration between the Municipal Administration, Latterie Vicentine, the Scientific Committee of the Agriculture Festival, the Pro Loco, and the Bressanvido Youth Council, who decided last year to unite three major early autumn events into one large communication platform.

The oldest of these is the grand and spectacular Transhumance Festival—recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO—which celebrates its 26th edition this year. The highlight of the event is the arrival of the herd, scheduled for Sunday, September 29 at 5:30 PM, preceded by the traditional parade at 5 PM. "A unique spectacle where the cows are the true queens," comments Marino Pagiusco, a long-time member of Latterie Vicentine and the creator of the Bressanvido Transhumance. From 3 PM, the wait will be enlivened by workshops, music, beers, sandwiches, and fritters. The celebration will continue into the night with live music at Villa Pagiusco and great food from numerous food trucks.

"It is with genuine pride that this year, the Bressanvido Transhumance returns for its 26th edition: a strong link to tradition with interesting new elements and unique events. It's an important part of the effort to preserve a practice, now a UNESCO heritage, with great historical, cultural, social, and economic value, deeply embedded in the local fabric, and involving numerous entities to ensure quality offerings," comments Bressanvido's Mayor, Luca Franzè. "Alongside the popular dimension of the festival, the Agriculture Festival also remains an essential cultural platform, with proposals that engage both the general public and industry professionals."

Transumando also includes the Agriculture Festival, which will mark its 10th edition this year, with the theme "Nourishing and Savoring the Present and the Future." As always, the festival will feature events, meetings, and conferences aimed at highlighting the agro-ecological importance of the Bressanvido area. The opening night of the Festival will be held on October 3 with an engaging discussion between Lorenzo De Guio, from *MasterChef* season 5, Antonio Lorenzon, winner of *MasterChef Italy* season 9, and Alberto Pierobon, from *MasterChef* season 13. The event will be introduced and moderated by journalist Margherita Grotto, with a special appearance by the Farmer Chefs of Agriturismi Campagna Amica - Coldiretti Vicenza. The festival will also include numerous events with industry professionals, as well as activities involving local schools, including educational workshops, guided tours, and animated readings. The Agriculture Festival will conclude on October 12 with the traditional ARAV conference, which this year will focus on "Heat stress in dairy cows: genetics, welfare, rationing, and technologies for resilient livestock farming."

Another exciting event within Transumando is "Latterie Vicentine in Festa," the open-door event of the largest Asiago DOP cheese production center, which will take place on Sunday, October 6 at the Latterie Vicentine headquarters (Via S. Benedetto, 19 - Bressanvido). Attendees can enjoy numerous activities, including an immersive tour of the plant aboard a charming little train to see the production process of the Vicenza-based cooperative up close.

This year, Latterie Vicentine's big event will feature an irresistible novelty: at 11 AM, a special Showcooking will take place, featuring the lively Venetian food blogger La Carla Blog and Chef Amedeo Sandri, a professional with over 50 years of experience in the food industry. On one side, the home-cook who entertains her followers with fun recipes and gags, and on the other, the "working-class chef," a proud ambassador of Veneto's culinary culture who promotes a simple, no-waste cuisine. The audience will also be involved in the show, with two lucky participants winning personalized aprons and the chance to assist the two Venetian chefs during the event.

The most significant moment of the day will be, as always, the cutting of the largest Asiago DOP cheese wheel in Italy—over 1000 kg—produced with milk from the pastures of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The cheese will be distributed to attendees, and as every year, the proceeds will be donated to local charities.

Alongside the Transhumance Festival, our company offers a celebration at our plant in Bressanvido, with the cutting of the largest Asiago Dop cheese wheel. For full transparency, we are opening the doors of our production center—the largest in Italy for Asiago Dop cheese—to showcase the production processes of our cheeses, made exclusively with milk from the 250 associated farms. The "Latterie in Festa" program includes several children's workshops (Little Pastry Chefs, Cheesemaker for an Hour, Playing with Art, Fun with Chess), circus and juggling shows, and El Bechin with his "Horror Puppets Show." Kids can also enjoy the bouncy castles and the barnyard animals. Throughout the day, a food stand will be serving Latterie Vicentine products, hot sandwiches, and more. From noon, music lovers can enjoy a concert by the Madlei Trio.

Thanks to the dedication and passion of the Bressanvido Youth Council, the 10 days of Transumando will also feature great music. This year's exciting lineup of concerts and performances kicks off on September 27 with Igors and Lady Brian, and concludes on October 6 with the Brex-Hit home format event.
