The mayor of the Municipality of Palomonte, Felice Cupo, and the agriculture councilor of Palazzo di Città, Salvatore Giordano, explain the objective of the project for the protection and valorisation of local agri-food products in this way, who after the stipulation took place six months ago at Palazzo Sant'Agostino at the headquarters of the Province of Salerno, of the memorandum of understanding between the Municipality, the Province, the University of Salerno and Assofrantoi Campania, for the protection of the typical products of Palomontese and in particular of extra virgin olive oil, which gave rise to the adhesion of local agricultural entrepreneurs to the ConfOliva OP, to the birth of the Assofrantoi Palomonte desk, and to the start of a university research study aimed at creating an identifying brand, announce new initiatives that will be presented during the second edition of the food and wine, cultural and artistic event "Saporì, Exhibition of Olive Oil and Sustainability" which will take place in Palomonte, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October 2023. An event of regional importance "SapOri" which again this year , after the success of the first edition last year, returns to the Sele Valley to promote the production of extra virgin olive oil and agri-food products from the Palomontese land.
Event organized by the Pro Loco of Palomonte, with the patronage of the Municipality of Palomonte and the Assofrantoi Campania association, financed by companies and associations that have always been committed to the valorisation of the territory and which will see the weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October, the hamlet of Bivio di Palomonte be animated by the presence of food and wine stands, sale of oil and typical local products, entertainment with popular music, entertainment with shows for children and entertainment.
