Bardolino Superiore

Wine tour area: Bardolino

Bardolino is an Italian red wine of ancient origins, produced in the foothills in the province of Verona, delimited by the DOC, which descends towards Lake Garda and which takes the name of the homonymous municipality of Garda Veronese. Bardolino Superiore DOCG requires at least one year of aging, and is a pleasant wine suitable for savory cheeses and cold cuts.

Bardolino wine is combined with Amarone della Valpolicella from the three main grapes among those allowed for its production: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara (and Corvinone up to a maximum of 20%), but unlike Amarone and more generally of Valpolicella wines, Bardolino is suitable to be consumed young and its best qualities are freshness and fragrance.
