transiberiana Italia

Over the years, the authentic village of Castel del Giudice has embarked on a real path of revival and contrast to depopulation. A splendid widespread hotel with wellness center and restaurant with young chefs from the academy of starred chef Niko Romito, a cooperative that has regenerated abandoned agricultural funds by converting 40 hectares into organic apple orchards and then a company of organic jams, up to an agricultural brewery and community apiary and beekeeping school.
A very intense, constant and lasting work that is now able to bear fruit, such as the ancient apple trees planted in the Molise village on the border with Abruzzo.

The "Trans-Siberian of Italy" is the nickname with which the Sulmona-Isernia railway is affectionately called, which connects the Abruzzo valley with the Molise valley after crossing the Maiella and the Unesco Natural Reserves in Upper Molise.
After the closure of the ordinary service, the association LeRotaie (www.lerotaie.com) of Isernia has developed, under the supervision of the FS Foundation and the "timeless tracks" project, an increasingly full-bodied calendar of tourist travels reaching in 2019 the remarkable figure of 31,500 travelers.
On 1 August 2020, the Trans-Siberian of Italy returned to the tracks after the forced stop linked to the epidemic phase and has since grinded kilometers to discover the small villages of the Apennines.
Given the numerous requests, new extraordinary races and with a promotional price have been added to the traditional calendar already planned. It starts from Sulmona to discover the villages of Molise; market exhibitions, fairs, trekking excursions, guided tours supported by local restaurants and food and wine producers await travelers who will make known the peculiarities of the territory such as organic apples, the excellent white truffle, craft beers and spun curd cheeses in where it is not difficult to taste the authenticity of a truly uncontaminated and wild territory.
An unmissable event for autumn!
