Castelrotto (BZ)

Castelrotto (BZ)

Castelrotto is part of the most beautiful villages in Italy, located in South Tyrol in the heart of the Alpe di Siusi. In summer it is the starting point for many excursions, while in winter it is popular for a ski holiday. It is also an ideal destination for lovers of good food, who can taste typical Tyrolean products such as Schüttelbrot, Speck dell'Alto Adige, Speckknödel and drink gin-based cocktails or toast with a glass of sparkling wine with apples.

From this small village comes a folkloric music group famous throughout Europe: the Kastelruther Spatzen. Twice a year there is a festival in their honor: the Kasteruther Spatzen Fest, in the first days of October, and the Kastelruther Spatzen open air, scheduled in June.
