In Molise, on the border with Abruzzo, is the Altomolisano village of Castel del Giudice, a mountainous area surrounded by apple orchards. Castel del Giudice is part of the Città del Bio association, thanks to the production of organic apples. In their honor every year, the Apple Festival takes place in autumn.

Over the years, the authentic village of Castel del Giudice has embarked on a real path of revival and contrast to depopulation. A splendid widespread hotel with wellness center and restaurant with young chefs from the academy of starred chef Niko Romito, a cooperative that has regenerated abandoned agricultural land by converting 40 hectares into organic apple orchards and then a company of organic jams, up to an agricultural and community apiary brewery and beekeeping school.
A very intense, constant and lasting work that now manages to bear fruit, such as the ancient apple trees planted in the Molise village.
