Cassano Irpino is a small village in the province of Avellino in Campania, also known for its springs, historical sources of the Apulian Aqueduct. The main agricultural product is the Montella chestnut. The long tradition of what was the first chestnut festival in Alta Irpinia begins in the 70s and for over forty years it has remained a popular festival inspired by excellence and quality.

In the village there are 7 churches among which the mother church of San Bartolomeo Apostolo, Santa Maria delle Grazie, San Rocco, Santa Maria La Longa, Madonna del Carmine and San Pasquale are noteworthy.

Among the points of interest worthy of a visit there are undoubtedly the sources of Cassano Irpino. And obviously to prefer the autumn period, in the last ten days of October, when generally, during a weekend, the Chestnut Festival of Cassano Irpino is organized!
