Carpiano (MI)

Among the most significant buildings in Carpiano are the Church dedicated to San Martino Vescovo from the 14th century and the Castle of Carpiano, whose current form dates back to 1549, when its inhabitants, the Carthusian Fathers, rebuilt the pre-existing structure.

Carpiano, which is 19km from Milan, is located in the center of the South Milan Agricultural Park. A territory with a strong agricultural vocation, composed above all of fertile and cultivable fields irrigated by the waters of the Lambro and other waterways, has in its farmhouses some essential elements for its history.

Carpiano's traditional event is the "Rice Festival". It is the iris, in fact, the main product of this territory.
