Brisighella is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, in the province of Ravenna, in the center of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola Regional Park. It can boast numerous typical products, true excellence at national level, the most famous of which is extra virgin olive oil. Other products deserve a mention such as the Moretto Artichoke, the Mora Romagnola cured meats, the Marzolino truffle, the Spoja Lorda (a fresh pasta made with the "hand-pulled" sheet, stuffed with a delicious "beaten" made with fresh cheese, parmesan, eggs and nutmeg).
In the ancient village of Brisighella, every season is characterized by products, flavors and aromas that become the protagonists of festivals and delicious dishes in the local restaurants.
Here are some of the events not to be missed: the festival of cured meats and the March truffle which takes place in April; always in the same month the Festa della Spoja Lorda is held, while at the beginning of May the appointment is with the Moretto Artichoke Festival. Still in May the Festival of Spring First Fruits and Bruschetta with Extra Virgin Olive Oil is organized; the Sagra della porchetta di Mora romagnola takes place in October.
In addition to good food, the medieval village preserves a landscape of history and nature to be discovered through walks in the historic center or with excursions on the hills among the centuries-old olive trees.
