Alleys, courtyards, towers, palaces, undergrounds, are the ideal setting for a suggestive leap into the Middle Ages. The atmospheres, lights and scents of what was once the ancient Fucecchio can be during the medieval festival.

Salamarzana is the name of the ancient medieval castle, built in ancient times on the hill of today's Corsini Park. The festival, created to enhance the historic center of Fucecchio, is among the initiatives of historical revisitation aimed at the places that were once located on the path of the Via Francigena.

Re-enactments of ancient crafts, military camps, musicians, figures and numerous street artists will animate the historic center of Fucecchio, through a path marked by torches and banners. Great shows of strong scenic impact created by renowned companies will drag the visitor into the fantastic medieval world.
