In the month of October in Thiene, a municipality in the province of Vicenza, the Poenta and Bacalà festival has taken place for more than 50 years. The historic event, which has become a regular event in the autumn, celebrates Bacalà alla Vicentina, one of the typical local dishes based on stockfish and accompanied by polenta.

This year too, the Poenta and Bacalà Festival returns from 25 to 28 October 2024, organized by the Pro Loco Thiene with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of the ConfCommercio Mandamentale.

It is a weekend that has been the highlight of the Thienese gastronomic tradition for 60 years, an event of excellence for those who love good food, for the finest palates, a unique opportunity for all those who cannot resist the little ones pleasures of the throat.
