The Cherry Festival and the Holy Wine Festival take place in Brognoligo, in the province of Verona, in the Veneto region, traditionally between the end of May and the beginning of June. The gastronomic event officially opens the season of cherry markets in the Eastern Verona area.
The event also represents an unmissable appointment for tasting the Vin Santo of Brognoligo, a passito wine that has almost disappeared because it is produced only by very few local families, ideal for accompanying some characteristic local sweets. The Vin Santo of Brognoligo is produced from the Garganega vine, which finds its ideal terroir in these lands of ancient lavas, basalts, and tuffs.
