In Pessano con Bornago (MI), in February, the celebrations in honor of Saint Apollonia and the "Sagra del Firun" (Chestnut Festival) take place.

In addition to the food stalls along the fairgrounds, there will be various refreshment points offering street food, sandwiches and sausages, tripe, and sausage sandwiches.

The festival celebrates the ancient tradition of chestnut necklaces, called "Firún" in the local dialect. Residents and visitors gather to enjoy culinary delights, participate in folk performances, dances, and other cultural activities.
