One of the longest-running truffle market exhibitions in Italy dedicated to this prized underground fungus is the Crete Senesi event, held in San Giovanni d'Asso (now part of the Montalcino municipality): over thirty years devoted to the white truffle from the gentle hills of the Sienese countryside, which separate Chianti from Val d'Orcia.
