The 1st Magnalonga of Italy, has been staged since way back in 1986 in La Morra, pearl of the Langhe where the king of Piedmont red wines, Barolo, is produced. At the end of the month of August, members run five kilometers in the name of taste and tradition to be covered among Unesco heritage vineyards.
Aperitifs based on typical Langa products, then the stages with local cured meats, lard and Dolcetto d'Alba, tajarin with ragout and Ivaldi delicatessen products paired with Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba and Langhe DOC, and more veal bites with Barolo, offered with Mulino Sobrino polenta and Barolo DOCG from the producers of La Morra. There will be a selection of cheeses from the Cuneo and Barolo valleys, while the fifth stage will close on a sweet note with hazelnut cake the products of Giovanni Cogno, lemon sorbet and Moscato d'Asti DOCG.
