A great celebration in honor of the most famous specialty of an entire territory. The National Pepper Fair of Carmagnola, the largest Italian Fair dedicated to an agricultural product, which takes place in the center on the outskirts of Turin awaits visitors for ten days of gastronomic, cultural, artistic, sporting events and creative and engaging experiences for all the senses and for all ages.

In the Italian capital of peppers, the absolute protagonist can be tasted and purchased in its five types recognized by the consortium of producers: the square, the trottola (heart-shaped with a slightly everted tip or with a truncated tip), the long or ox horn (very elongated cone), the tumaticot (rounded and flattened at the poles, like a tomato) and the elongated square. The first four are native, while the last is a hybrid type that has a higher yield as it is more tolerant to viruses. Carmagnola peppers are harvested manually from the end of July respecting a strict production specification and are appreciated throughout Italy for their goodness, for characteristics that lend themselves to the most varied preparations and for their numerous nutraceutical properties.
