It is the first truffle of the year, finally allowing the "vanghetti" (small spades) to be dusted off and the faithful dogs to be welcomed into the trunks for trips to the woods, pine forests, and pastures scattered across the mountains of Casola Valsenio.

The Bianchetto Truffle, or Marzuolo, is a less prized variety of the famous "Tuber Magnatum," but that doesn’t make it any less delicious. It’s perfect for use in the kitchen. Its high affordability allows for almost unlimited and highly varied use, impressing with its quality and finesse, and characterizing numerous dishes of the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennine cuisine.
