The oldest Carnival in Piedmont takes place in Santhià (VC). Magnificent masked courses, dancing balls, bands, historical groups and food and wine events: in Santhià the Carnival is the party par excellence of the year. An event involving over 2,000 participants in a town of only 9,000 inhabitants, organized by the people for the people. "Fun that has lasted for 1,000 years", as one of the slogans of the event states.
And for the carnival you cannot miss the 150 copper boilers hoisted on perches for the Colossal Fagiuolata, which for many years has enriched the carnival history of one of the prettiest villages in Piedmont.
