Focaccia di Recco is a typical product of the Ligurian tradition. This specialty is found in the province of Genoa between the municipalities of Recco, Camogli, Sori and Avegno. Recco celebrates its specialty with a festival scheduled for the end of May

Itinerary details

The beautiful town of Recco is located on the Ligurian Riviera and is about twenty kilometers from Genoa.

The route begins in the historic center of the village where there are interesting buildings and monuments and you can admire the splendid coastal panorama. To visit: the Marian sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna del Suffragio, the Church of Saints Giovanni Battista and Giovanni Bono and the Church of San Rocco.

We recommend a visit to Recco (GE) at the end of May to take part in the Festa della Foccia di Recco PGI. The event celebrates the local specialty which is distributed free of charge by local bakers for the occasion.

In the surroundings of Recco you can visit the Castle of Dragonara, the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and the Maritime Museum of Camogli and the municipalities of Camogli, Sori and Avegno, up to Genoa.
