Itinerary details

In the historic center of the city of Asti there are several places and monuments of interest such as the Church of San Pietro, the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, Palazzo Catena, Palazzo Zoya, Palazzo del Michelerio and Torre Troyana.

Along the itinerary you can admire two castles: that of Costigliole d'Asti and that of Calosso.

One of the typical dishes of the Piedmont area is Bagna Cauda, a specialty based on garlic, anchovies and seasonal vegetables (including the hunchback cardoon of Monferrato). In November it can be tasted on the occasion of the Bagna Cauda Day in Costigliole d'Asti, or during the Bagna Caoda del Beato in Calosso.
