Itinerary details

A journey to discover one of the most characteristic products of Emilia Romagna.

We start from Langhirano where we first stop at the Parma Ham Museum and then we go in search of small artisan companies. We are south of the Via Emilia, between the Enza river and the Stirone stream, where there are about 150 ham factories that are part of the PDO consortium.

Along the way you can visit the Historical Museum of the Resistance, the Man Environment Museum, and the Parks of the Duchy.

A visit is recommended at the beginning of September, the period in which the Parma Ham Festival takes place in Langhirano. Furthermore, for every weekend of the month on the occasion of Open Windows, the ham factories can be visited.
