Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre 2014

The Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre back 23 to 27 October 2014 in Turin (and Oval Lingotto Fiere), organized by Slow Food, the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

In 2014 the resort tenth edition of the Salone del Gusto and the ten years since the birth of Mother Earth.
In 1996, ten years after its foundation, the Slow Food organized the first festival dedicated to food and small quality food production. In 2004, the meeting of farmers, ranchers, fishermen of food communities, put on the net knowledge and perseverance of those who, every day, working to keep his identity and sovereignty.

Topics edition 2014 the Ark of Taste and family farming. The Ark, which was launched at the Salone 1996 catalog products at risk, is the project of Slow Food's most representative for the protection of biodiversity. Farming family rooms on stage in the year of the FAO celebrated all over the world. These themes intersect the work of Slow Food and Terra Madre every day are declined in a number of other issues such as the fight against hunger, malnutrition and poor diet - faces of the same coin - nutrition education, the relationship between environment ciboe and the respect of the territories and traditions.

The big news of the program is represented by Hall 5 of the Lingotto, entirely dedicated to the teaching and education of taste. Inevitable appointments in the Slow Food Educa for the whole family and school and Taste Workshops, which this year take us on a journey to the corners of the planet.
